Pench national park is located in the chhindwara and seoni districts in Madhya Pradesh in India. The name of the park is derives from the pench river that flows through the park from north to south and divides the park into equal western and eastern halves and well forested areas of chhindwara and seoni districts. The park was declared as the national park in 1975 and in 1992 it was established as tiger reserve. The park is also famous for rafting and got “best management award “in 2011.

- By air- Sonegaon airport is the nearest airport to the Pench national park and is located at distance of 132 kms. Regular flights from Mumbai and pune are available from the airport and airport is well connected to the major cities of India.
- By rail- Nearest railway station is seoni station to the pench national park and the station connects the major cities like pune and Nagpur.
- By road- Seoni bus station is the nearest bus station to the pench national park and located at distance of 30 kms. Seoni is well connected with the all towns of madhyapradesh and Maharashtra.
- Wildlife in park- The park is famous for large herds of gaur, sambar, cheetal, wild dog, nilgai, wild pig and key predator is tiger followed by wild dog, wolf and leopard. Other animals also includes, chousingha, sloth bear, braking deer, chinkara, palm civet, jackal, fox, jugle cat, small Indian civet, porucupine and hyena etc.
- Birds in park- Pench national park is best for bird watching and you can see four species of the endangered vultures like long billed, white rumped, king vulture and white scavenger are in good number in the reserve. The other fauna includes 10 amphibians, 50 species of fishes, 45 butterflies and 54 moths and various other insects. There are over 285 species of migratory and resident birds that includes Indian pitta, Malabar pied hornbill, grey headed fishing eagle, osprey and white eyed buzzard.
- Wildlife safari in park- Wildlife safari is the most adventurous activates to do in the pench national park and you can enjoy the safari during the morning time 7:30 to 10:30 and in the evening timing 03:00 to 05:30. In the winter season, the timing is different and the morning entry time is later and evening exit time is earlier.
